Great to hear it was a good practice today. Heard the play with Zack was just sick.. It is great that Brock is back. Thanks for the updates. I have to laugh I had the info on practice before I even talked to Brock.. It is great to be a lady in the know..... I love this board. Aunt Annie

Brandon Turner caught that pass, not Wynton.

Good stuff. These DBs gotta have in the back of their minds "at least he's on OUR team" !

also- my local guy getting any reps?

Medic ... Greiser's in the mix for the starting strong safety job.

Greiser's getting a lot of work w/ the second team and , for right now, Dickerson is keeping him there.

I was really impressed w/ Brock after yesterday's practice. It's the first time he's worn pads all spring and he came out ready to go. He was rusty on the first several plays but after he got warmed up, he looked almost as good as he always has.

excellent news. Be very interesting to see how he does back there. Thru a mutual friend, I hear Ryan is VERY happy w/ the current state of affairs down there; ie: new coaching staff

You have friends that are actual people and not on a message board? Wow, you learn something knew everyday.

You need to chill out. People say the same thing all the time. Just because you said it first doesn't mean that no one else is allowed to say it. That's a quick way to lose any credibility on this board.

Yes, but I said it with better punctuation and grammar.

Actually, I was in a hurry and didn't read the whole page before that posting.

Update on today's practice:

Soggy conditions on the grass so everyone looked kind of sluggish. We spent every team period working in the red zone so not a lot of big plays. Brock doing good things but clearly not ready to tuck it and scrambe just yet. DBs defended the fade route well. EL Estes is gimpy but gutting it out. He had a pick on the 3-yard line. TE Corey Rasberry had a good day, making some good downfield blocks and getting open over the middle. Hopefully, the weather will hold off overnight and tomorrow and we'll look a little sharper on the turf.

i agree with you on everything. alot of players were sliding, but the STARTING receivers did a good job catching the ball.

Practice update:

Jason Horn out for the last two days w/ knee injury. He may or may not be back for spring game.
Sloppy for the 1st 2 periods on both sides of the ball but picked it up after that. At this point, Stokes owns the fullback position not to mention a few LBs. Brock looked much better on his feet today which is good because the D-line was making him have to move around. Brock is taking more and more snaps, mostly on passing plays. Some great catches and great blocks by some WRs, namely Wynton and Eugene Rogers, but my nomination for the play of the day was Zack's 60-yard TD heave to Brandon Turner, caught in-stride. The coaches have added some QB draw plays into the mix for Zack. Greiser and Dickerson are both still impressive. It's too bad they both play the same position.
The last 2 periods were Red Zone work and the coaches just let the guys go at it. I talked to one fifth-year guy after who called it the best scrimmage he's ever seen here. The energy and noise level coming off the sidelines was pretty close to a game-type atmosphere. Rashad proved that he absolutely cannot be stopped by anything less than two people. On one play he went through Manny and dragged Lloyd into the end zone. Pat Calvary absolutely de-railed Darnell Edwards at the 1-yard line on an end-around.
All in all, things look really positive going into the last week of spring. If we can keep this going through voluntary workouts and August camp, this season will be one to enjoy.

Gracias tambien.

With Brock taking more & more snaps, is Zack seeing action anywhere else?

Random thought: any chance the old turf can be transferred over to the practice field when they put down the FieldTurf? maybe too much prep work necessary to make it cost-effective.

I'd think that would really help out conditions- that thing used to get the SNOT beat outta it.

I would think that having a grass practice field would prep us for playing in grass stadiums. I am sure we could find some use for it though.
