flamesfilmguy wrote:Steve you aren't reading. there are 5 teams that have the ability to make it to the playoffs in the CAA. three of them (UD,UMASS,UR) are almost shoe ins already. The selection committee has only allowed 4 teams from one confrence 1 time ever. that leaves hofstra and JMU out in the cold. But there seems to be no written rule about it. I find it hard to believe that if it came down to us and somebody who was clearly superior we would get the nod because their conference already has 3 or 4. But hey the NCAA bball comittee is sometimes that stupid so I guess this one may be too.
See this is where i've found a flaw in the system. if a very good team does really well out of confrence but maybe comes in second or third in a tough confrence they can be ranked in the top 10 and still not make it by virtue of the fact that there are too many teams from their confrence already in the playoffs.

We need to be consinstantly in this discussion for outsiders to consider this program to be on the rise.TDDance234 wrote:The first true test of this program comes after this season. We're loosing a ton of talent from this team and in order to be counted as a program on the rise, we have to respond.Where did that come from?
