"First Baptist" usually marks the first Baptist church in any given town. I think it's hilarious because Baptist churches will stereotypically split over something eventually. So, when you start out calling your church "First Baptist" it's like you're saying "After the split happens, we don't want you suckers to forget where it all started. That's right! Right here at F.B.C. Podunk!"

Gas stations had dead chickens hanging on nooses, I was refused service at a store- somehow they knew I was a CCU fan (CCU hat, and football jersey on), they had pictures and statues of a mountaineer chopping off a chicken's head, etc
