How about that Kallie Corbin. CVU National Player of the Week. Collegiate Volleyball Udate.com picked Kallie as the national player of the year. Pretty heady stuff.
One day after winning her second-consecutive Big South Conference Choice Hotels Player of the Week distinction, Liberty sophomore setter Kallie Corbin has garnered another piece of hardware. She has been tabbed the Collegiate Volleyball Update (CVU.com) National Player of the Week, for Oct. 22 through Oct. 28.
Whats crazy is she was Freshman of the year last year....Nic is a lock (if she doesnt get player of the year) this year, or maybe even KB
so that would be back to back Freshman of the year and maybe a player of the year
And guys...dont be shocked if we have a All-American this year...one of the coach's (on an opposing team) said that LU should put several tapes together on a few of their players b/c she thought a few may have a shot at it.
Congrats! Believe me when I say setters are not recognized nearly enough, I would love to see when the last time a setter got player of the year
