made some calls a few hours ago from the hancock building...i was told to call various buisnesses and churches about the game..so far texas steakhouse...mcdoanlds..golden corral..exxon..and others will have "beat coastal" in their marquee's..or have libertys very own signs on display

Of course. The week I am going to be out of town, the atmosphere looks to be building nicely and the game is going to be on TV.

I am going to be in NYC for the Olympic Trials marathon and the NYC marathon the next day. I would love LU to Beat Coastal and LU alum Josh Cox to shock the world and earn a spot on the Olympic team.

The rivalry is there already. We Dislike coastal with a strong burning passion. just look at what they've done to us the past couple of years. Overtime in the bill they beat us in 2005 and in 06 they beat us by less than a touchdown. oh and not to mention their fans are more annoying than UF gator fans... and thats' saying alot. there was one at the womens soccer game sat. night that wanted to fight someone it was funny. but anyway...here is my attempt at a haiku for the game this weekend...

They had an article about him in the paper before Saturday's game talking about how big his hands were and I couldn't help but think of the same thing.

This is true...Too bad we couldn't get ESPNU for this one instead of MASN but that is still a bigger reach than Liberty Channel/WDRL (which not everybody's parents gets)

Half the country doesn't get ESPNU. Anyone that has Comcast across America doesn't get it. ESPNU would do us absolutely no good.

Also true (about half the country not getting ESPNU). At least we are getting regional exposure with this game (Maryland, VA, WV, DE, NC, probably SC and GA, and very possibly NJ). Hopefully as this team gets better we get a chance to play on a bigger TV stage, but right now Im tryin to work with this Beat Coastal vibe and really get things juicing for this weekend. I mean the Beat Coastal signs all over Campus are great (heck, even the spirit rock was saying that briefly). Itd be really something to see the stadium bathed in red and having screaming students and people with signs showing up on the Jumbotron

The ticket office is doing their part. We put Beat Coastal signs in the south gate ticket office windows and also wrote Beat Coastal on the ticket office windows at the FOC with that Window paint. It looks sharp check it out.

I also had it on my back windshield, but the frost this morning destroyed it.
