Scar,

He signed a non-guaranty with them a month ago. From reports in the camp, he played very well, and it looked like he was going to make it as the last man, but one of their big guys got hurt I believe, and they just cut him to take a big man as insurance.

They had an article on it the other day in the local paper, he said he's had some contact from other teams and hoping he gets brought in somewhere else, if not, he has some sure things in Europe.

Wow! That is still very impressive. He is a borderline roster player right now. That means he will be called up for 10 day contracts if he stays state-side and plays in the NBDL. If he goes for the big money he will definitely get paid well over seas. That is good for him. He is one of my favorite players in the big south and with all of my dealings with WU players, he is one of my favorites. Billy Houston and Chris Gaynor are good guys to talk with as well. Being the last guy cut usually means you will get a few chances to catch on somewhere else. Think Avery Johnson.

From everything I have read he didn't have much of a shot, and then when Tony Battie went down for the season, the completely ruined any chance he may have had to make the team...but its cool for him to at least have that chance....
