I don;t give a flying rip who is right. what this discussion was designed to do was look at why the heck we got our jockstraps handed to us and what can be done to make sure the Danny Rocco era doesn't turn into a new verse to the same old song that is LU football. We got St Francis coming up on Saturday so why don't we turn our focus to that instead of going back and forth about silly conspiracy theories or namecalling or other non-football related gobbledygook (a word my Dad used a lot when he was yelling at me)

But there's nothing that needs to be said that hasn't already been said. Run the numbers through yourself. ZT shows up in the big games and against the better D's, while RJ struggles, and yet RJ is the favored starter over Zach. How can this be?

The conspiracy thing is an invention of your imagination not mine ... I implied commitments only..

We can keep running RJ between the tackles, but it hasn't worked yet against the better defenses. In fact, any win against marginal or better than marginal competition has involved a big effort from Zach.

Now......do I have to point this out to the film guy ....smile...

Now....back to football. I too was at the game. The play calling was just as uninventive as Game 1. I thought maybe in that game they might be holding back some of their offensive plan before the W&M game. Apparently not. No misdirection plays. All short passes. No check-off on receiver routes. Predictable as can be. Hard to imagine changing that, or a defensive scheme in mid-season. Not a pleasent thought I'm afraid. But I remain a loyal, and hopeful, LU fan.

I wanted the Dunton situation to be accessed after the season. I thought that we had the talent to make a comeback, but it didn't happen that way. Most of the Haters weren't here during his first three years. His follow-up from Hankinson was impressive.

I thought that he had another year, but he apparently needed to put a little more time into his relationship with his AD.


Having said that, it would have been hard to pass on a talent like McKay, even if Dunton's last two years were successful and things were more friendly with Barber. McKay would have been too good to pass on.
