Previous School: Transferred to Liberty from Virginia just prior to the start of the 2006 season; however, did not play for the Flames last season … two-year letterwinner at Virginia … saw playing time in 10 out of the Cavaliers’ 12 games in 2005 … finished the year with 16 tackles (10 solo and six assisted) and three tackles for a loss (four yards) … in 2004, he saw playing time in all 12 games … finished the year with six tackles, including one for a loss … saw playing time at linebacker and as part of the punt and kickoff punts.

Prep: Graduated from Elizabethton High School … PrepStar All-American ... listed as the No. 12 defensive end nationally by Tom Lemming ... No. 13 strongside defensive end by Rivals.com ... Rivals.com 4-Star player ... Border Wars Top 101 No. 10 defensive end ... nation's No. 23 defensive end by TheInsiders.com ... No. 63 player in the Southeast region by Rivals.com ... the No. 2 prospect in Tennessee according to Rivals.com ... Just pointing something out that we figured out yesterday: Vince is one of four current Liberty players who started in 2005 in UVA's win over FSU.

He is a VERY big boy...I stood next to him at the drink station in the dining hall once, and all I can say is the only other person I knew of in my previous 5 years at LU that made me feel REALLY REALLY short was Katie Feenstra

On Tuesday afternoon, head football coach Danny Rocco spoke with the media from the Williams Football Operations Center. It was Rocco’s first Tuesday press conference of the 2007 season and he touched on everything from the close of camp to Saturday’s opener against Tusculum.

Listening to the news conference the big news to come out of today was that Eddie Pinigis has a broken toe and likely won't play this week or possibly the next few. So two significant pieces of our offense are out Saturday.
