Not normally a member of this forum, but I found it when searching for a thread on the topic. Heard about this from VolleyTalk forum which I am a member of.

Wanted to throw out two names of coaches that I think Liberty should strongly consider. Both are fantastic Christian coaches at top level DII Christian programs!

Bob White - current Head Coach at Palm Beach Atlantic. PBA is a well funded program (full scholarships and complete staff) that played for the DII National Championship in 2015. Coach White proved that you can take a great Christian program and compete nationally with the kind of support that Liberty also provides.

Doug Walters - current Head Coach at Cedarville University. Has also competed at a very high level in DII with multiple conference titles with a program that is not well funded. Talked to him once and he only has 4 scholarships and a GA as his only assistant. Would love to see what he could do at a program that is well supported!

Both of these coaches are strong Christian coaches that fit the mission of Liberty perfectly and also have quality student athletes that play for them at extremely high levels! They are both well known nationally and are highly respected in the volleyball world! Liberty should really take a look at both of them!

Welcome to the board. Thanks for the insight.

Welcome, as a closet VB fan (I live near Penn State and get to attend a game or two yearly) I like your suggestions.

Both coaches come from traditionally Baptist schools. Interestingly enough I have a relative who did undergrad at Cedarville, led a department as chair at PBA and has spent nearly the past decade teaching at LU. Small world.

That is very interesting! It is a small world when you are focused on great conservative Christian institutions of higher education! Sincerely hope they reach out to both of these guys! Nothing but quality and both really deserve a shot at this position in my opinion!

The coach at North Greenville, Greg Moseley is also a LU grad and one of the best around. His club teams compete all up and down the southern coast and have excellent records. He is a guy that you would want your daughter to play for. I put his name in the hat, but don't know if they have contacted him or not. His wife, Teresa Bradley, played VB for LU and his daughter is JV coach and assistant varsity coach for the SC state champion team.
I hope they give him a look. He may or may not be interested in coming to LU. I haven't talked to him in about a year or so. He is exactly what LU should be looking for in a coach. Strong Christian, clean program and wins, everywhere he has ever been.

Eh...that would be selling him a bit short since he was there for one season. Most of his accomplishments came prior to that and he had a solid two seasons over in College Station prior to his arrival on the mountain.

Welcome Coach Johnson!

Can a new coach get their own thread? :)

I agree, SumItUp. Unfortunately I don't have moderator status in this particular forum.
