Chattanoogan.com wrote:Jordan Woody will be transferring to Lee for her senior season of eligibility after spending her first three years at Liberty University. Woody is originally from Asheville, N.C.

In three years at Liberty, Jordan played a significant role all three season; primarily as defender, but she also played as a forward as well. In the 2010 season, she played in all 21 matches while starting two games. While at Liberty she was a member of the Big South’s Presidential Honor Roll in both her sophomore and junior seasons.

In her club career she was a two-time South Carolina State Champion with the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy while also making the roster of North Carolina Olympic Development Program in both 2006 and 2007.

“I think that Jordan’s experience playing at the college level will be a very good addition to our squad this fall. She is a very technical player that is also gifted with great speed. We believe she will not only add needed experience to our roster, but will come in and challenge to start for us this fall,” stated Yelton.

Chloe Woody will also be transferring to play at Lee after completing her first year at Liberty University, however it will be the fall of 2012 before the Flames faithful will have the opportunity to watch her play.

In Chloe’s first season and only season at Liberty she would start in 10 out of 12 matches, including the season opener against Virginia, before suffering a season ending knee injury that will also keep her out of the 2011 season.

During her prep career Woody was the starting center back for the N.C. Olympic Development Program team from 2005 – 08, and was named the MVP for the WCAA Trailblazers in 2009. She played center-mid and center-forward for the Highlands Football Club in 2009. Prior to playing for HFC, she played for the Carolina Elite Soccer Association in Greenville, S.C., helping the team to a South Carolina state championship in 2007 and 2008.

“Although Chloe won’t take the field for us until 2012 we feel extremely fortunate that she made the choice to transfer to Lee. She is a player who can play in a variety of different positions and excel wherever you ask her to play. Chloe is an extremely talented player and I see her being a vital addition to our program in the coming years,” stated Yelton.
