We begin Big South play this afternoon in Conway against league runnerup Winthrop. This is a double-elimination setup so we'll be playing again tomorrow regardless of today's outcome. But it would sure be great to be in the winner's bracket.

FYI, UNC Asheville beat Birmingham-Southern in Game 1 2-0, so if LU loses, they'll have to play the top seed in the loser's bracket just to stay alive.
I'd suggest winning.

We have seven high school championship events here Friday and the boss can't afford to have me on the road that day. If LU makes it to Saturday, I'll be making the trek down.

This one is far from over based on how our season has gone. Here is the live stat-tracker:
Live Stats Thanks to CCU
Its 8-3 in the bottom of the 6th after the Eagles picked up a couple of runs now in the bottom of the frame.

Good job by the guys thus far. Hopefully they can hang on, and then with a win over HPU tomorrow be oh so close to a championship!

Geesh--I was so worried about blowing the lead. My bad (*AG rolls eyes*). Hope Tim can close the door. Would set up a great elimination game between the top two seeds.

Hey I am too, but you gotta give credit where credit is due for Umberger. He really wanted to keep going but you gotta know when to give up the ball

Two more outs to go with a 4-run lead. I'm feeling more confident by the second.

Can't we do anything the easy way. I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss, anytime, though.
