Didn't expect this win. I guess Winthrop has nothing to lose since they are a lock for the regionals anyway with the season that they had. LU has everything to lose.

Actually, Winthrop has plenty at stake. If they lose tomorrow they can certainly kiss their regional bid goodbye. They obviously are trying to get as good a seed as possible in the NCAA Tourney.

I still think Winthrop is in regardless of what happens in this tournament. The body of work in the regular season will hold up.

When I talked to Royer Monday, he said the key was getting innings out of the starters. Umberger goes 7 1/3 today and Tim John was the only reliever to throw.

I went back and listened to the postgame and Ryan Page is getting the start tonight
