I can't believe no one has said anything about this....

I usually don't post, but after checking in today for the first time in a while I couldn't believe that no one has mentioned a rumor that has been flying around.....Recently UNC recruiting coordinator Chad Holbrook took the same position at South Carolina. It is rumored, and it has been substantiated by the UNC message boards that our own Scott Jackson is most likely getting that job. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Also, as mentioned in a previous thread our own Tyler Light is having a fantastic summer in the ACBL, as is Shawn Teufel who is pitching in the Alaska League, Jeff Jefferson has absolutely raked Valley League pitching and won the Home Run Derby, Steven Evans, after a rough start is putting together a decent summer in the Coastal Plains Leauge, and recent Flames pitchers Ryan Page and David Stokes are making noise on the minor league circuit. Page got a call up from the NY-Penn League to the GCL after just 4 appearances, and Stokes recently combined with former ODU pitcher Anthony Shawler to throw a no-hitter for Oneonta of the NY-Penn League. Just some summer notes for anybody who cares.

I care and thanks for the updates.

As for Scott Jackson, I had seen those rumors but I hadn't seen any movement so I wondered how much validity they had.

Losing Scott will be a big blow to the program...as for many of the returners it would mean their 3rd pitching coach in as many seasons. It also shows the quality of the people that Coach Toman has brought on board.

That seems to me to be the worst place in the world to play baseball, hands down.....

UH, that is easily the best place to spend a summer playing baseball hands down. It is flat out amazing country.

keep looking for an announcement...i have heard that there have been a pretty good number of calls wanting to be considered for the opening. may know something real soon. some great prospects... some big winners. don't think storm will take a step backwards...his coaches are recruited like the players......he wants the best of all the choices.. the fact that scott went to unc shows that toman must know how to pick them.

I know there is one person working on finishing school so they can be an option...although it looks like a pitching coach is needed rather than another position coach

I hear Storm has quite a few choices to go through, which is good, while not surprising
