Games #50-51 @ Longwood, #52 vs. Longwood

the flames head down 460 east saturday to face the longwood lancers for a doubleheader starting at 3pm, and the lancers come to lynchburg sunday for a 1pm contest. LU is (26-23) is riding a four game winning streak after beating Va. Tech 7-6 on wednesday. Longwood (18-27) broke a five game losing streak by beating high point 9-7 on wednesday.

I never saw a final...but LU is up 8-0 over lu in the fifth of the 2nd game.

No...an OUTSTANDING weekend...since HPU is in the process of getting SWEPT by Coastal. That gives the Panthers TEN league losses...and we have 6 (1 game ahead of VMI for 2nd place). What does this mean in the big picture? If my math is correct, we are assured a top four finish, thus avoiding the play-in game.
VMI plays CSU and LU hosts HPU next weekend. Winthrop has 9 losses...so a two out of three weekend vs HPU would give us the 2-seed going into the tournament.
