Game #49 @ Va. Tech

The Flames travel to blacksburg to face the Hokies for a night game with first pitch scheduled for 7pm as the flames look to get revenge for an 11-1 loss on april 16 in lynchburg. LU (25-23 overall, 12-6, big south) swept charleston southern over the weekend to take over second place in the standings. VT (20-27 overall, 4-20, ACC ) swept presbyterian 7-1- and 6-5 in 10 innings. it appears the game will be available on ACC select.

Off to a good start. Aaron Phillips with the grand slam and we are up 6-0 after 3. Clarence Nicely is really mowing them down.

Nice win and great pitching by Steve Evans when it looked like we were losing momentum. It is nice to know that we can win outside of our conference.

Yea, but the ACC can't hold a candle to all of those CAA teams we played.

We did what were supposed to do...take advantage of a team you should take advantage of...VT's been struggling...but we've had ours too...hopefully this is something to build on and get some good momentum for this next month of ball
