the flames hit the road for a huge weekend series against the bucs, with a single game saturday at 3pm and a doubleheader sunday starting at 11am. CSU (15-25 overall, 4-8 big south) is coming off a 7-2 loss to savannah state, but won their last big south series over winthrop. LU (22-23 overall, 9-6 big south) had a tough 11 inning loss to george mason of the glorious CAA

on wednesday and looks to soldify itself in the upper half of the BSC standings. GO FLAMES!!!

LU takes the 2nd game of the series 13-2, as Umberger goes 6 1/2 innings for the win. Every starter but Rotola (who scored a run) gets a hit; Giammaresi with 3 RBI, and Grijalva with 4 RBI.
Game 3 just getting underway, as CSU scores 2 unearned in the first off of page. A sweep will be huge with a series with HPU coming up in two weeks as it appears VMI, LU, WU, and HPU will be battling for the 2-3-4 seeds and avoiding the play-in games.

Liberty was only up 5-2 going into the 9th and dropped an 8-spot in the 9th for the final margin

I'm assuming a great job by the team's Certified Athletic Trainer (and students) had much to do with getting him back on the field.

Liberty now leads 8-2 in the bottom of the 9th with the help of a 4-spot in the 7th inning

Ryan Page goes the distance as Flames win game 3 8-2 for the conference road sweep. That's big.

That's taking care of business, guys. The team can now focus on finals (and graduation, for some) before taking on the Lancers in the battle of the real LU vs the poser LU next weekend.
FWI,...former Flame Billy Daniels is the pitching coach for Longwood, and local (Brookville and LC) product Shawn Abell is the other Asst Coach.

After all of the grumbling the past month or so, it appears we are positioning ourselves very nicely to meet our ultimate goals.

Good advise to let it go, no need. I think you will see some big changes next year based on the talent level of this years team. You might want to wait and see what happens and then post your thoughts.
Of course you are free to express what you wish, just don't dig a hole you can't get out of.

knucklehead speaks the truth and has seen the light, like 99.9% of LU baseball fans have. CM will see the light in the near future.
