Can we sticky this thread?

Basically, anyone with any news on any of the former LU players, those currently in the league, can we put them here?

I know Jason Jones looks like he's headed to AAA. Matt Hagen played in the indy leagues last year, same with Josh Brey, Phil Laurent, Michael Just, Brian Adams and Dan Valentin. I cna't find anything on Garrett Young, Solbach, or Bechtold.

GY is still on our team. Unless there is another Garrett Young...

I know its not playing, but former Flame Billy Daniels is the pitching coach at Longwood.

Hagen is the strength coach for the team, everybody knows about Jones, Bechtold just got married and is done playing (former lady flame Crystal Tharp), Young is still at LU, Solbach is recovering from Tommy John and with the Yankees. He's down in Tampa right now. Don't know about Brey. Just signed with the Astros, Laurent was with the Padres for a it last year, don't know now.

Daniels, as mentioned is the pitching coach at Longwood and is having a pretty good debut season. A current Flame I know pitched for him this summer in the Valley League and raved about his abilities as a coach, seems good things are on the horizon for him.

Billy Daniels is also married if Im not mistaken as well as coaching at Longwood

Billy was married this summer, I am happy to say I was a part of the wedding and it was a great ceremony. He's got him a wonderful girl. Great guy, couldn't be happier for him.

Most of the guys are in camps right now. We'll see who makes some rosters in the next couple of weeks. Then indy ball comes into play.

My kids are about to start T-Ball - does that count?

Does anybody know where former Flame Tony Beasley is these days? He was a coach with the Nationals, last year, I think.

I'm assuming he got released because I saw he resigned with the Indy team that he was playing for at the beginning of last year. River City Rascals in the frontier league...

I'm impressed you knew his name to even see he resigned...I dont think I can name one BSC player on a team other than LU!

haha...well i know most of the names of the guys that "made it" over the last 5 or 6 years... At least I like to think I do.

He is the 3rd base coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
