There's plenty of time to make it over to the ballpark after church. It'd sure be nice to take this series.

Yeah.......today was a tough one. There were 2 times where we had bases loaded with 0 outs, and each time we only got 1 run in.

like the saying goes..."it's not how you start, its how you finish" it a long season and we are just beginning. The bats WILL come around and our pitching will keep us in ball games. Lets take the series rubber match and send Ryder packing.

Depends on how long winded your preacher is. :)
Lets get a good turnout today. Should be nice weather this afternoon for a baseball game.

Not a major shock nor a major disappointment. What makes baseball so unique is the fact that average teams can, and will, beat good teams on any given day. Tell me another major sport that you would see a first place team with a .600 winning percentage? The New England Patriots ran the table until they lost the big one. Won't ever happen in Baseball. The Boston Celtics were close to a .900 winning percentage (until recently). Won't happen in baseball.
In MLB very few teams end the season finish with 100 wins in a 162 game schedule.
I will guaranty that your home team will come up short in the very near future and amazingly enough will have a few losses to teams that are huge underdogs and when they do, Flame fans will resist doggin' you for the harsh reality that they simply fell to the inevitable statistical reality that no one (not even the might UofV) has ever run the table in D-1 baseball.
Flame fans lets root the team on to the start of another 5 game win streak. Go Flames!!!!!!!

Well here we are with the bases loaded with P Keller up in the bottom of the 1st. Hope that we can take advantage of these situations unlike what we did yesterday.

It is now 10-0 Flames in the top of the 5th. Yesterday clearly was a wakeup call.

Oh yeah, David Stokes had faced the minimum through 4 innings after having his lone baserunner (single) of the game doubled up in the 1st. But a throwing error on Stokes has provided the Broncs with their only runner left on base today.

It is still a 1-hitter for Stokes with the Flames up to bat now in the bottom of the 5th.

Stokes final line:

6 IP, 1 Hit, 0 Runs, 5 Ks, 1 BB

Doug Wallace just put them down 1-2-3 in the 7th

I'm not listening to audio stream, is the 10-run rule in place? If so we are done.

Apparently it is not because we are now batting in the bottom of the 7th leading 14-Nil.

This is kinda what I thought would happen, but I hate predicting things.

We lost to an inferior team, and came out like we were ticked off about it.

Good job guys...

Didn't make the game today but watched the highlights on WSET: loved the navy shirts and hats with the white baseball pants.

i listened to part of it on the way back to the burg from nc and it sounds like stokes is really good. i was impressed with the team overall, sounds like it should be a fun season. of course you can't really gauge the team off a team like ryder
