"Official" Lights Installation Progress Thread

Since we had one for the FOC, we might as well have one for this. The process has started.
I noticed today that the holes are being dug for the pole installation out behind the outfield fence. I would have taken a picture, but who wants to see a picture of a hole being drilled!

JDUB and BJ, get out there with your cameras PLEASE: show us some red clay being dug up to make the alumni happy.

And BJ, feel free to interview the constuction crew--we'd love to read some quotes from the workers, JT, or JB.

Just a side note...as an Asheville guy congrats on the lights, haha. I am VERY jealous...and although we do get to see UNCA play about 5-10 games a year downtown in the pro park (which is beautiful) its still not the same as seeing those lights shining on campus. Hopefully we can join you in modernity soon.

thanks! it took us long enough- but great to see Jeff Barber and the school stepping up and making the committment to facilities improvements across the board.
now to get the seating upgraded and those picnic areas added!

News update - The Baseball Season just got canceled!!!!!!!! Just heard it on WSET.
They were drilling - they hit oil!!!!!!!!!!!!

they have blocked off the street on the backside of the field. looks like they are drilling more holes for the lights today. Jeff Barber doesn't waste anytime, does he?

Nope...they want to make sure the lights are in for the Coastal series.
