I was at practice yesterday and saw one of the three new baseball hats. Most impressive. Sorry, gang...no pictures though. Picture a hat with the streamlined eagle logo, though and no "LU" on it.

The navy blue one with the eagle logo? I've seen them. Not a huge fan, not bad though.

That would be it.

I have seen a couple people wearing those...not a fan at all....but oh well

You haven't seen what it looks like with the entire uniform. But I admit I am anxious to see what the new gear look like as well.

Bryson or JBUB need to give us a status report on the Bookstore: are they selling the new baseball caps?

Also, a friend told me that High Peak will soon begin selling LU gear in their stores (I hope that's true).

The bookstore has never sold LU Baseball hats. However, last year the team sold them at games.

Super (or JDUB/Bryson), would there be any problem with our bookstore selling baseball caps?

Well, that and they'd have to work out a deal with Nike (assuming baseball has already switched to Nike clothing).

Back in the days of Pastors...and the flaming baseball logo...the bookstore used to see the fitted caps.

hard to say for sure because he never turned face-on to the camera- it was shot from the side.

Yes that's the hat...it looks like the retro hats that the rappers wear...it's a good item to sell...just not a very good hat for gametime...call me a traditionalist

hahahahahaha everytime he talks to an sld they tell him that! its almost predictable.

everybody on here wants to act like they know everything or come across like they know whats going on, but they don't. if the bookstore isn't selling the hats, its not because they just randomly decided they weren't going to. the athletic department (kevin keys mainly) gives the bookstore the stuff to sell as far as athletic stuff goes, ie football jerseys, baseball hats, etc. for them to get an actual replica to sell, the athletic department would have to give it to them.

its easy to just call someone incompetent when you really know nothing about how the whole system works, but maybe next time find out how it goes first. obviously the bookstore makes the final call on what to sell, but I can almost guarantee you that they haven't seen the baseball hats.

if you want to see the hats sold at the bookstore, contact the athletic department and the bookstore. like everyone always says, jeff barber can make things happen. i bet if they get several hundred emails each asking for the hats that you see them in the store in the next few months, but just getting on a message board whining about it won't make it happen.

To get Nike jerseys in the bookstore, there has to be a contract between us and Nike to sell them. To get Nike hats in the bookstore, it's the same way. That's how Nike works. For a third party vendor to sell them, they have to have a contract.

It's funny how you have called the bookstore incompetent God only knows how many times and have said that the only way things get done is if you do them, then when someone else criticizes the bookstore, you get upset. Funny how that works. The reason I called the bookstore incompetent stems directly from things you and Bryson have told me about them so either your complaining about them the entire month you lived with me and even after that was wrong, or you've gotten a new found respect for them from somewhere or another.

there's a big difference in the book side of things and the merchandise. I don't even work there anymore, I was just pointing out that everyone always is quick to blame the bookstore for stuff when sometimes its not there fault.
