Tell me about LU baseball

I was trying to get a gauge at what WU should expect this weekend w/ LU's team this year...looking at the stats, it seems like the Flames are really pitching well, especially the starters...I'd assume that Solbach and Page will definitely start, along w/ either Thompson or Beakler, right? Solbach, Page, and Thompson all have very impressive numbers.

It seems like the Flames are ok offensively, but it looks like only Laurent is having a 'great' year so far. Based on the numbers, it looks like LU likes to run alot too...Am I on the right track?

Should be an interesting series and a good gauge for both teams to see where they are at.

I can't really speak for the team as well as others (though that has never stopped me before) but it seems as though the starting pitching is stout, but the closers are suspect. Middle relief- I really have no clue- ask HMO. They seem to be swinging the bats well- though they really haven't faced competition like WU.

Oughta be a good series

Yeah, our starting pitching is sick....although if yall take a pretty smart approach at the plate and make them work you'll get them out of there around the 6th or 7th and thats when the fun starts for you....our bullpen is awful and late in the season & tourny time is when it's going to hit us the hardest...when these arms are no longer able to go 8 or 9 innings....but if we can have a few arms in the bullpen step up then it should be pretty fun.....we'll see

The weather is still cold so its not unusual for short relievers to have issues this time of year. Perhaps those guys will start coming around soon.
