Diamond Flames Among Top 70 Squads in Final Ping! Baseball Power Index


The 2007 Flames ranked 65th out of 293 in the final Ping! Power Index released by Ping! Baseball.com.

The Liberty Flames finished the 2007 baseball season among the nation’s top 70 programs, ranking 65th nationally, in the final Ping! Power Index compiled and released by the web site Ping! Baseball.com.

The Flames, who posted a 36-25 mark this past season, finished 65th out of 293 NCAA Division I Baseball squads in the web site’s final Power Index. In addition, PingBaseball.com ranked Liberty 29th out of 109 teams in the Southeast Region in its final regional rankings.

CCU actually finished 4th in this ranking :shock:

props to them.

seems like a pretty accurate index.

#1 was Rice, and UNC finished ranked highly as well.

probably only because they failed to make it out of regionals. Even when hosting it as the #1 seed.

that was a real good club this year.

we were pretty solid ourselves, but they were by far the best over the whole season.
