Delmonico fired at Tenn. Hadn't made it to the postseason since 2005, pretty tough expectations in the SEC I guess. Hope he finds a good place to land.

For those wondering .......
Delmonico graduated from Liberty University in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in physical education, and lettered in baseball and soccer. He holds a master's degree from Clemson University in education administration.

One has to wonder if his son will remain at UT...or transfer out like Mike Roberts' son did when canned at UNC.

Well, LU does need a pitching coach: could Delmonico coach our pitching staff?

Delmonico is a hitting/defense guy...

Best I can tell Delmonico was making 130,000 per year plus camps etc. Is Liberty anywhere near that range for a head coach ? Curious how close they might be.

I can see size of the school as one reason....but what are the others your referring ? Experience of the coach, record ??? conference schedule???

maybe, what he is referring to is the amount of money that he will be paid as a severance package.

I wondered what his relationship with the school has been over the past decade. I assume that is what truthslayer is referring to in his cryptic post.

Why are we referring to this guy by last name only? This is Rod Delmonico right? I remember him when he played. Terrific defensive centerfielder with excellent speed and an impressive guy to talk to. I'm not surprised he achieved as a coach.
