South Johnston High shortsop Aaron Parnell has signed a baseball grant-in-aid with Liberty University. He is pictured in front with his parents, Janna and Phil Parnell and, in back, South athletic director Mickey Bridgers, head baseball coach Keith Durham, assistant principal Cecilia Banks and assistant coach Joe Loia. Parnell is leaning toward majoring in sports management at Liberty and will take two courses this summer. 'I could talk about Aaron all day,' Durham said. 'He has been our shortstop four years and makes great plays look easy.' Liberty is a member of the Division I Big South Conference.
