Anyone know the projected starters?

it looks like it will be Friday-Slone, Sat. G1 - Chrisman, and Sat. G2 - Dobies

Slone - 7.23 ERA, Dobies - 6.16 ERA, and Chrisman - 2.82. I would say they were putting their worst starter at the front end to try and grab one or two games on the back end w/Chrisman against just us. However, looks like the ball club isn't very good and only wins are against like Canisius, Buffalo, etc. (except one to JMU and Youngstown State who's OK), and have been reversing their pitching rotation all year round with their worst up front.

Will LU be riding their horses again in meaningless non-conference games?

It was a legit question. I don't know as I am not involved directly any longer. Of course, knowing the "horse's" mindset...he WANTS the ball when it is his turn.

Why haven't we played a conference opponent in almost two weeks?

Yea, but why was it made like that? That's pretty stupid on the BSC's part.

Down 2 nothing in the 2nd....we havent gotten a hit
Sbach's on the mound...he just doenst look like himself...he doesnt have much left and I personally would sit him until a important conf game comes up....he could use the break
I talked to a player before the game and they said they (Marshall) are throwing one of their weaker pitchers to try and "Snake one" hope that doesnt come true

The Thundering Herd brought quite a few fans for the game decked out in their Marshall green, probably mostly parents. Marshall football fans travel well, and I'm glad to see the same thing about their baseball fans. I sat through a few innings of game today, and I'll be there tomorrow for part of the double header. My wife and I sat in the middle of the Marshall fans for old time's sake, and it almost felt like we were back in Huntington again.

Holy Cow! We win 8-6. Nice comeback. I thought that we were dead.

The question is how you managed your allegiances today, Jim.

Liberty Sweatshirt with a Marshall ball cap?

Good question, Pete--Oddly enough, I was sitting in the
Marshall section wearing an
Ole Miss windbreaker (I've attended a lot of colleges). But I did buy a hot dog to support the home team.
Tomorrow, I will likely strap on my
Marshall hat, for old time's sake, but I'm hoping we (LU) will split the twinbill: that way, LU takes the series, but Marshall saves some face by winning one game against the Flames.

The whole rest Solbach thing is a joke. This isn't football - Pitchers like to stay on a schedule. Solbach pitches every Friday. ONCE a week!! If he takes a game off he wouldn't throw in a game situation in two weeks - that would not be a good move.

I'm glad someone finally said that on here...There's no need to rest your starting pitchers if they aren't pitching more than once a week (unless they are hurt)...

But is he hurt? Is he being over used in his one appearance? I honestly don't know.
