They obviously earned a ton of respect nationally with that opening weekend at Florida. Congrats to those guys (even if I believe we're better than they are).

What is amazing is that Ikenberry recruits the state of VA hard...
...I think I saw him and his staff at almost every showcase and tournament we attended. They sign a lot of kids (some say over-recruit), but realize that some will wash out as the VMI life is not for everyone. It will be interesting to see if they fade again this year, once they get into conference play.

that ranking will fall very quickly soon....Florida is down BIG TIME this year, just lost 2 to Kent State and got swept by Texas A&M. The rest of their schedule has been weak with Maryland Eastern Shore, Niagra, Bucknell, etc. They are up from what they have been in the past few years with some good arms that have progressed quickly. They are coming up with some challenging games though in Auburn, Winthrop, ODU, VCU. Good to see our conference getting some good recognition, but that ranking there is a bit of a stretch this early. Congrats to them though for getting some ink.

THANK YOU!

I kept thinking that- but kept my mouth shut (for once) because I'm no baseball guy.

seems to me we've played our common opponents better than they have :?

(Richmond comes to mind)

I'd have to look that up to prove it, though.
