NEW BALANCE
PITCHER OF THEWEEK
Michael Solbach • R-Junior
Liberty • RHP
Woodbridge, Va.
Solbach picked up his first two
wins of the season with victories
over Albany and Manhattan during
Liberty's season-long seven-game
win streak from Feb. 17-March 2.
He posted a 0.69 earned run average
in 13.0 innings of work, allowing
just one earned run while striking
out 13 batters. Against Albany
Feb. 23, he allowed two unearned
runs and just one hit over six innings
on a cold and windy day, and
retired 16 straight hitters before
giving way to a reliever. Against
Manhattan March 2, Solbach went
seven innings and allowed two runs
(one earned) and four hits while
fanning seven and walking two.

They're just throwing us a bone early in the year so they can ignore us when it gets down to when it counts.
