A Sea Of Red

I recently found this (and several other Big South Baseball) fan forum and was reading through some of the old posts etc. from last year, especially during the tournament. I was lucky enough to be involved both with the season, and esp. the tournament last year...and so had a unique perspective of last years tourny.
I know most of you were disappointed with the end result but I was there and can tell you the LU guys played their hearts out and showed tremendous class in a tough loss. I had the opportunity to speak with players on both sides and the LU guys were obviously upset but gracious and classy. Your LU team could hit like crazy, as could UNCA, and i know the UNCA team knew going in they were going to have to score a LOT of runs to win. And at least from the unca side, a lot of respect to all the lu hitters...and all players both before and after the champ. game. It was fun to watch both teams all week.
Anyway, looking forward to the upcoming season. I'll definitely be around and posting... We'll see how '07 goes!

I don't think I have ever been so shock/dissapponited in a game before. The UNCA fans never gave up. Anytime they got a hit when they were down 10-0 they were cheering like it was 1 run game
