Always nice to pick up a win over an in-state rival. The energy on Tuesday was electric, which is good to see heading down the home stretch when the season will more or less hang on the conference tourney.

It took 11 innings, but it's good to see the bats pick up Horn after KSU touched him up a bit. Credit him for pitching out of some jams and minimizing the traffic on the basepaths. Trey Carter's stuff has looked filthy the last few outings and it's a massive boost to the bullpen to have someone who can eat 4+ innings so effectively if needed.

We split the DH today so we win the series. The offense is very inconsistent and at times still struggles but we are playing much much better baseball the last few weeks. 3-1 this week is great. By no means are we a great team now but we are miles and miles ahead of where we were at the beginning of the season and look so much better. I’m very pleased with this turn around.

Apparently, there was a rumor going around yesterday that several players was released from the team prior to yesterday's game. Any truth to this or was it just ignorant nonsense?

I did notice that Lazzaro and Guy didn’t play. Lazzaro hasn’t played for the last 2 weeks. These are key pieces
