All four games this week are on the road.
Tuesday at VCU who is number #156 in the RPI.
Our first conference games this weekend at UNF. They are #151 in the RPI.

Orndorff still leading the country in homeruns.

If we play well we should be able to go 4-0 although conference games are always tough and UNF has wins over South Florida, Central Florida, and Boston College.
VCU doesn't have any wins over notable teams let's just hope we stay focused and play like we are capable of and we should be okay.

This first game has been a pathetic weak performance. If we don’t homer we don’t score. And like LUDad said I don’t really see us coming back in this one. Certainly possible though.

UNF with a 5.09 team ERA holds us to 2 runs.
We are not a good team right now. Definitely not a top 25 team.
Hopefully we get out of this funk soon and start to look like the team we were the first few weeks of the season.

Hitting may have been fool's gold first part of season. A drought will take LU back to what their mean averages should be. Team needs to work the counts, get BB and cut SO's. Historically, have been good at that. Need to focus on winning 2-3 run games.

Yeah, I’d say it was definitely fools gold. With Orndorff leading the way in that. There was no way possible for him to continue what he was doing.
And in a shocking turn of events we score 2 in a 2 run homer in the first inning of game 2. If we don’t homer we don’t score.

Side note: our conference slate is much tougher, with divisional play. Should be good for the RPI. UNF beat UCF 2 out of 3 last weekend. No gimmies this year.

The east division certainly looks tougher than the west. This has been a great performance so far till the grand slam.

As good as Logan is at first I don’t see how he can stay in the lineup. He’s striking out nearly 40% of his at bats and not hitting for power like in the past.
