Just watching Vandy & Alburn against UNC & Duke. We really need to upgrade our firepower before we can compete against the big boys on this stage. These guys are scoring double digit runs in a single inning against good pitching.

Agree. We usually have one guy who can really be a long-ball threat any time he comes to bat. We need 3-4. Our park is not really hitter friendly though.
Would like to see the NCAA put a little bit more umph in the bats too. I believe we have gone too far the other way from the metal, missile launchers, they started out with. Those were just dangerous.

Sounds familiar as a carryover from softball. Both teams need more home run threats. Both need to add some left handed power, in that wind blows out to RF a lot.

All our power this year was from the leftside - Embry (11), Mattheiu (7), and Wagner (6). It would be nice if Mattheiu and Wagner increased their output next year and get something from the 3B and C positions which are typical power positions - maybe JUCOs?! The outfield of Betts, Guy and Rohrer had a combined 1 HR!

Definitely need more HR production from OF.
