Why on earth would Toman put Cory Howard in on first base when he brings Close in to pitch? Especially in the 7th inning. Yacyk is a first baseman and has a much better bat than Cory Howard. (.293 vs .000) Are you kidding me? There are still 2 innings left (at least) and the game is TIED! He weakens TWO positions when he does this and it has been done repeatedly this year!

3rd baseman kicks a ball that was probably going foul. Three runs later hpu has tied it at 5

That ball wasn't going to go foul. Was going straight down the line, not moving. Close just balked in the go-ahead run.

Bad things happen when Close comes in to pitch.

Lose 6-5 on a balk by Close.

Very poor performance in all facets of baseball tonight .

Bye bye regionals.

Bad game tonight all the way around. I have to say that the HP unis are probably the ugliest I have seen, maybe ever. The HPU on the arms is horrible. Hope we can win the next two.

Much like all year. We can not protect a lead. He keeps bringing Alex in instead of AP. We can not get a hit when we need it. We either strike out swinging for the fences or stand and watch strike 3 go by. Two outs & two strikes game on be line, if it is close you need to swing.

I agree . never take a called 3rd K.

Going the final 5 innings without scoring was worse than pitchers losing the lead.

We have too many weak hitters in lineup .

True. But one day can make a world of difference, For instance, last game against CCU and then next day vs. Maryland.

Of course they did. They're competing just like we should be.

LU should "own" HP in every sport.

Overuse of pitchers.

Not believing in rest.

Getting tight when it matters.

All three of those are the center of why it happens.
