Hoos coming to town on a three game skid. They were also shut out at home yesterday by Georgetown, the last time they were shut out at home since 2012 by a team from Lynchburg.
Hopefully we will get the bats going today.

The Big South champion LU Quiz Bowl team will be recognized in the 3rd inning, so look for us on top of the first base dugout.

We need to start beating the ACC teams on schedule. Need RPI points for end of season.

Surprisingly , very little talk about this game. Highest ranked opponent on schedule I believe.

First game I'm coming to this season as a fan and I am pumped for this one. Most people here know my hatred for UVA and I think if they can hit off-speed today they can win this. And Pierce will be on the TV call so if it does have a wild ending we'll have another highlight to give us chills.

Atrocious. Our fundamentals are just terrible. 4 bunts and atleast 3 mishandled. Paxton needs a map to find anything hit to him. Stafford also was victimized by 5 or 6 jam shots and bleeders.

We got two back last inning but it was obvious half the guys don't have an approach up there. We opened the inning up by just hacking and popping out to center. Then we close the inning by hitting into a double play on a 3-1 pitch. Just no plan anywhere.

Down 9-2 and we come up and ground out on the first pitch.
We only made their pitcher throw 54 pitches in 4 innings.

York slips in a story about a HomeRun he hit while broadcasting , and taking BP in Winston Salem. This is a snooz fest.

I'm listening to Nick's call only because you never know when he'll start talking about International Puppy Day or whatever it was him and Kevin talked about yesterday.

Close comes through to make it 9-4. Perfect approach at the plate with two strikes.

We do have the worst offensive approach of just about any major program that we play. Its not just a couple guys, its wide spread. Were dragging 5 and swinging first pitch and 3 and 0 and then not squaring it up on top of that.

This is sounding like a little league game. Bean Ball. We have hit a few batters in a row.

That's because we have no approach. We haven't had a hitting coach for 2-3 years since Hagen left.

I'll pay a little bit of devil's advocate here. The bullpen shut the door after that disaster of a fourth inning and the team put 7 runs on the board. I think Presby will be just what the doctor ordered this weekend.

Presby has 16 wins and has beaten top 40 opponents Indiana and Central Florida. No layup.

I felt I was eavesdropping on a personal conversation rather than listening to a baseball game.
