And the very next half inning they get the equalizer.

Down 2-1 in the 8th, really need to get bats going.

Leaving too many men on. 10 at last check.

3-2 Flames now in 8th

Scored tying and go ahead runs with 2 outs on 2 throwing errors by Bryant.

We hold on, 3-2.

Nothing says Jim Toman like grooming a guy to be the closer for months and then starting him in February when it's 30 degrees. For as great as he is at some things, other leave you scratching your head. Glad we got the win though.

Good comeback win. hopefully the hitting will improve tomorrow .

A hand wrapped gift. They gave us all 3 runs. Weve got to start hitting. Lyons should be in the rotation though your point is true. I think toman is rewarding his 2 seniors close and perritg with sp and catching roles to boost there draft stock. Starters are worth more than relievers and a catcher with pop is worth more than a 1b.

I took my boys to several innings. It was fun. Hopefully the bats warm up. Along with the stadium. Lol

I get the point but putting those kids in those positions is just exposing the weakest part of their games. Perritt gets hammered if he doesn't have maximum velocity (limited pitchability) and Close is a terrible defensive catcher and will never be one in pro ball - those guys would rather have someone who hits .200 but can make their pitchers comfortable.
