UVA would be great bc we would probably be a 2 seed. Since UVA is the top seed probably then they will draw some of the weaker 2 and 3 seeds and we would be on the weaker 2 side but a strong 3. If we travel, I could see us being a 3.

Given the travesty that has been the last 10 games or so, is there no concern whether Liberty even gets in?

Our RPI should be high enough to get in and get a good seed. As I saw in softball the NCAA works in strange ways .

As of today we have a 30 RPI. On the cusp of a 2 seed but more than likely a 3.

We are Liberty. Of course I'm worried.

Selection committees are the most clueless groups of people ever assembled for any reason, I'm terrified.

I'm less worried about the selection committee and more worried about our complete lack of showing up once our staff felt like they locked up a bid at Clemson.

Add Virginia and Miami (FL) to the pool of destinations

Or Lynchburg, VA. And I don't mean to host.

There is 0 chance that we don't get in. I'm saying 2 seed at UVA with ODU as the 3. This is also what major writers have as well as of last night. Our last 10 games is 5-5, we didn't play great but it's not like we completely collapse. Weekend play and how much you dominate your conference is usually big for the committee, and what we did this year is impressive.

Look at UVA. Their collapse was almost as bad as LU's. Yet they still host a regional. One thing about NCAA, is everyone starts over at 0-0. Two losses and you're gone.

Last year I probably would have agreed with JK if we had not won the tournament. Campbell was in a similar place last year, difference was their RPI was much much lower and I think their record vs. the RPI top 50 was abysmal (I think Lang wrote at length about it after the selection show). Liberty has a much better record vs. the Top 50, has 2 wins vs one of the top baseball conferences in the country, 40 wins total, plus two wins over the team that won the conference tournament and a host of other factors I can't find on my phone.

Liberty is in. Athletics wouldn't host a watch party if they weren't sure of that.

How long have you been covering LU athletics again?

I've been reading this board for the last 2 1/2 years and it honestly amazes me how negative some of you guys are capable of being. I often find myself wondering how much college baseball some of you really keep up with. This team is 41-16, ran through the Big South at a ridiculous clip, has a chance to get the 1st baseball AT LARGE BID IN SCHOOL HISTORY in a couple of hours, has a chance to go to back-to-back regionals for the 1st time in school history, has a chance to have as many as 4 Juniors drafted (5 if you include Herndon) which shows the level of talent continues to increase, has a great young nucleus, has set school records 3 times this year for attendance, and has brought true national attention to Liberty from ALL of the national writers and national college baseball organizations this year. This program does not have a long, rich history of post-season play. I would think that rather than use words like "travesty" when describing this group of kids play, you could see the bigger picture. Although this is a lightly traveled message board compared to other top 40 programs for sure, I hope recruits parents don't read or put any stock in some of your posts, to get a sense of the support level of the program.

Last year Campbell's strength of schedule was about 237. They didn't play or beat anybody of note.

Was there a point?
If you've read message boards from other schools you'd know this is tame. I'm sure SEC football schools worry that parents look at their message boards.

If any parent or recruit decides to come or not come based on a message board, than they won't be happy anywhere.
