Liberty opens their defense of the Big South Championship against Gardner Webb, led by the 2014 Big South player of the year Ryan Seiz and Pitcher of the year Trey Lambert.

Looking at our last series, Lambert went 4 innings so he should be able to go Tuesday afternoon with Friday almost serving as an extra sidework session. win and we can work through our current weekend rotation in the first 3 games...the question comes with game 4 which could be the semifinals.

We had best wake up with the bats or we will be 2 and done in tournament . Hitting has been terrible for past couple weeks . middle of lineup simply not producing. DH no production for maybe even longer . Pitching has been good and i think we have the arms to win BSC and a Regional . But we must score some runs.

If our pitching can show up, maybe we can make y'all sweat a bit.

If we can't hit you will do more than make us sweat. You will beat us.

Excited but nervous tomorrow as well. Even before this last week we played poorly at UVa and had to come back in all 3 games against UNCa. We better come ready to play tomorrow.

Looks as if all the posters on this board have gone into hiding.

It is not exactly a day of rejoicing based on the events down in Destin.

Can we get Sankey out of the 4 hole/DH spot??? No average, no power numbers, only 26 RBIs, Perritt/Lacik/Sheppard all have 20+ rbis hitting at top and bottom of order, and he is by no means ever going to be a threat on the basepaths. I really dont get why we have a guy like that hitting in our clean up spot - right in the heart of the order? I know we dont really have anyone else who is really swinging it well to plug in there, but it doesnt take much to put up those numbers, or even if they can't hit that well - at least they could run a little bit or something....

As goofy as it sounds I thought Britt hit pretty well in that spot early in the year - that's when he got the majority of his RBIs. I guess coach is looking at L-R-L-R-L-R.

I agree. There are a few others who were hitting. Andrew Y. gets more hits than sanskey . Keranen was 4 for his last 11. Seems as though when someone gets hits for us we pull them. #4 needs to be able to do more than sac bunt or hope to get hbp.

Now only two games today due to an unexpected condition with the field down in Rock Hill. two losers bracket games today, then tomorrow will be two winners games plus two elimination games...Lang any idea what happened to the field?
