Great writeup as usual. I thought the same on herndon. Give him 2 weeks solid rest and see if it improves.

Looking at the standings (overall) we have a 3 game lead over Campbell for overall #1 in the conference with 12 games to go (including this weekend) as well as the North Division. If Im reading things correctly, based on our 2-1 series win over the Camels in Lynchburg, our magic number to clinch the North and #1 seed is 10.

Up 5-0 in game one. Sounds like Grauer destroyed one in the 1st.

LU has not lost a conference game since the Campbell series...magic number is now 9 pending the Campbell result.
This is what...3 straight full pulls from Trey now?

Go ahead and chalk it up...complete games...anyway having starters go deep consistently is a great thing. im trying to remember the last time we used more than 4 pitchers in a game

It's a sophomoric self-pleasure joke.

You're the one who went there...anyway, Lambert has been a rock as the Friday starter (Thursday this week) and really has been the ace of the three weekend starters much of the season. Bean could become that foundational starter in the next few years with Lambert graduating along with Herndon

It's not 3 straight complete games for Lambert. Stafford pitched the last 2 innings of his start last week against Longwood. Before that he pitched complete game shutouts against VMI and Presby.

Gotcha. We have had some real innings eaters in our starters this year which is very helpful as opposed to years past

It's full pulls.

Within this context, both are intended to be used interchangably sweaty one...that is to say, a "full pull" is how I define a complete game pitching performance

I think you're confused.

Full-Pull - "A complete evacuation of the bowels that does not require the use of toilet paper - usually one check-up wipe is applied just to be sure."

For those who are not as perverted as you and Adam and manson our fearless leader (excellent job on the interview btgw i didnt get to mention before) sweaty one, it also can be used in tractor pulls...but used within the context of baseball (and particularly LU baseball...it is intended to refer to the complete game.

My joke was perverted?
It's interesting that you found my joke to contain abnormal sexual desires. I never found a complete evacuation of the bowels to be sexual. Interesting.

Has anyone ever heard the term "full pull" in relation to a complete game prior to this thread? I haven't.

Although it was easy enough to ascertain his meaning in context, I have never heard it used to refer to a complete game (nor was I familiar with the usage VAGolf mentioned, which I would have been fine not knowing). It's a tractor pull term. Means your 3000 HP monster machine pulled the ridiculously heavy sled the full designated distance.

That's what I assumed he was referencing, Olldflame. But I grew up in rural Ohio where tractor pulls were big stuff back in the day.
