He also put out his first projection today and we are the 2 seed in the charlottesville regional as i expected and discussed in another thread. We actually have a very long shot at a host but we would have to run off another streak like we just had and something like 19 and 3 and win 3 of the 4 acc games left and also win the conference tourney. It is unlikely but we just ran off a streak like that minus the signature wins and weve beaten all 4 of those acc programs and won the tourney recently, all im saying is theres a chance. That ohio loss is really the only ugly mark we have as they sit 5 and 23.

I think to get on the 1 line we will have to lose no more than 2 games the rest of the way including the tournament. that means we sweep Longwood, UNCA, Gardner-Webb and either CCU or Radford and (both longshots even with the Chants down this year) plus 2 of 3 of the ACC games.

I will say, Toman has done an incredible job with the team this season. All of our teams should be dominating the Big South like this.

We don't really have a shot at a one seed. What we do have an outside shot at is a 2-seed in a regional where the 1-seed can't host. Coastal got shipped to Arizona St a few years back and they were the 1, ASU the 2. It's not likely to happen at all, but I've got to imagine that Barber would put in a bid.

I think we have a shot at being a Regional Host. Granted we have to continue winning, both in and out of conference. It would be great for LU to be a host.

To have any shot we have to sweep longwood unca and jmu. Those are all dogs that would kill us. Thats allowing us a little breathing room. If herndon is indeed lost it will really hurt us the next few weeks. I know fulghum is starting saturday and the kid pitching for longwood is pretty darn good. I think toman may throw a curveball and then start parks or clowers against tech and then throw lyons against jmu to try to ensure we dont lose a bad bad game there. We really need parks to step up and contribute this week in cars absence.
