Game #31: Duke

We finally get our second crack at the Blue Devils. Blake Fulghum gets the call on the hill for the Flames against Andrew Istler for Duke. Liberty won the first matchup down in Durham 8-2 in extra innings after the teams flip flopped matchups due to inclement weather. The Flames have not lost back to back games since losses to Ohio and UNCW February 23 and 25. Liberty has put together a 3 game, 8 game and 7 game (current) winning streak over the last 20 games. Duke comes in winners of 4 of their last 5 and took all three in a weekend series from future Flames opponent North Carolina.

It looks like the Dookies are using some form of shift on defense, no way there should be a whole that big up the middle

Liberty beat Duke in Durham in March. Not the Flames' first crack at them.

After getting down 3-0, the Flames tie it in the 7th on a pair of bombballs courtesy of Alex Close (starting to show the power that garnered him Freshman All American honors if Im not mistaken) and Andrew Yacyk. 3-3 Top 8

Holy pimp shot, Ryan Seiz. That was a bomb. 4-3 Flames.

8 game win streak for the FlameTrain according to Nick on the video. Flames are WHITE HOT...off to College Park looking for a third straight win over an ACC squad

Yaycks shot was incredible. All 3 were just bombs. Gotta find a way to get him in the lineup with warm weather coming. Marsh was nails again and clowers battled without his best stuff. Still have lyons and perrit fresh for the terps.

That was just awesome. HR packed comeback over an ACC squad with some flashes of that 2012 Orioles Magic that took a few years off of my life. Tomorrow's game will be kind of awkward for me but a Liberty win helps the Flames a lot more than it hurts the Terps.

Yacyk's shot would have hit the jumbo-tron if it was a little more to the right. It was @ 425-440 ft. - my guess. It was a prodigious shot not to take away from Close and Seiz that were also bombs

I wasnt sure which to go with so I went with video referring to the video stream. we are finding ways to win games we haven't been able to over the years and are possibly one of the hottest teams in college baseball right now.

I think the humor stems from the fact that you felt the need to cite a source to confirm the length of our winning streak BJ. It's not exactly inside information.
