Perritt is starting. I hate to be negative, but I have to question not going with Fulghum. No way Ashton goes the distance, and if he pitches more than 4 innings or so we have taken him out of the equation to close both tonight and tomorrow.

Should be on ESPNU after the Louisville game ends in a few mins.

Starting Perritt wasn't a good move. Start Fulgham, let him go 5, then let Perritt take you the rest of the way. Oh well. Let's just hope it works out.

And we're seeing why it was a bad decision to start Perritt.

Thanks for joining the fun, buckleup. Keep in mind that the Gamecocks have fresher pitching. But much like us against them the last time, their most important game is the one after this one. They are playing with house money with us facing elimination in their yard.

According to the announcers we are leaving our pitcher in because there might be lightening.

From a look at the radar... There is a thunderstorm about 10 mins away...

Ut-oh ... we have one out to extend this one if the storm is significant.

Ugh. We waste a leadoff single. Perhaps some small-ball might have closed the gap.

I'm not sure where they stand today. But it used to be that if you didn't get in 4.5 innings before the storm then they would start the next day from scratch. I believe they have to finish this one but now it will continue on as if it were an overnight rain delay. At least that is the way it used to be a decade ago when I used to cover regionals frequently.

Of course, I am stuck in Japan watching Gametracker because the Watch ESPN apps don't work here without local cable subscription.

Ok thanks, by the look of the radar, it seems that an overnight rain delay is going to be the outcome. I hope they get to finish tonight, I had a good feeling we were going to pull it out haha

Yeah, we are caught up in a delay that could be significant.

Perrit was pitching on heart tonight. That guy should get some kind of special something for what he's done over the last week.

Should they suspend until tomorrow I wonder if Roy/Lyons will finish the game and save Fulghum for the next game (see I'm optimistic).

Would be shocked if anymore baseball was played in Columbia tonight. Looks like rain for the next several hours.
