We've lost 5 straight and 6 of 7.
If CSU and G-W each win one of their last two games and we get swept, we are out of our own conference tournament.

Sad part is that they scored there six runs in an inning that should have ended with a double play before RU scored their first run. We could have a few more but some bad base running in the 7th cost us.

The final league standings could legitimately look like this:
CU: 19-5
CCU: 18-6
RU: 16-8
HPU: 14-10
LWU: 12-12
GW: 11-12
LU: 11-13
CSU: 11-13
PC: 11-13

According to Sordlett in yesterday's N&A we are in already due to tie breakers.

In regards to Liberty: the Flames need one victory over Radford to be locked into the tournament. There is a scenario I missed during the three hours of going over the tournament outlook that keeps Liberty out of the tournament:
-- Liberty is swept by Radford, Charleston Southern wins two of three against Coastal Carolina and Gardner-Webb wins two of three against Presbyterian. CSU (12-12) and G-W (11-12) would move ahead of Liberty (11-13). PC (11-13) would be tied with the Flames for eighth and the Blue Hose would own the tiebreaker by winning once against Coastal Carolina. Again, my apologies for missing that earlier. But, if Liberty wins once and finishes with a 12-12 record, the Flames are in based on owning the tiebreakers with CSU and Longwood.
-- Liberty also owns the tiebreaker over Winthrop (won two of three in Lynchburg). High Point took two of three from the Flames in High Point, N.C., to earn the tiebreaker there. Liberty was also swept by Coastal Carolina if that tiebreaker needs to be used in a non-division opponent tiebreaker.

At any rate, yesterday's loss may very well be the most disappointing of the season. LU should be able to sweep Radford, and just need a small broom.

Liberty has not had a losing season since 2005 (Royer's last year I think), so not only do we need a win today or tomorrow to make the tournament, but we need one for that reason as well (this did snap our string of 30 win seasons though)

I've had ISP issues at my house since arriving home from Europe. They should be resolved soon before I head to Japan next week. Thanks to CJ for stepping up to cover my inadequacies.

I was really excited for this season. But once it became clear the coaching was costing us games, I just lost all interest in it. Hoping something changes but I won't hold my breath.

Good to see the Radford players kneeling in prayer with us after the game. Postgame radio show said #5 LU will play #4 Radford in the 8:00 BSC tournament game on Tuesday night.
