Liberty wins 4-0. J-Rich with a complete game 3-hitter (his first career complete game I believe). Trey Wimmer with a solo bomb and Aanderud with three hits to lead the way

I'm praying this will be a men's basketball team redux. At least it's a start.

Great outing by Josh. And I'll give credit where it's due: Quinn called a great game with the amount of fastballs we threw. If we continue to establish the fastball, all of our pitchers can be dominant.

I take that last post back. Just found out Trey has been calling pitches since one of the games in the Winthrop series. Full credit goes to Trey on that pitch selection.

Sweeps are what we need. I'd say we're in solid position for qualifying for the BSC tournament.
Only question is why didn't Herndon start at all? I understand moving him off of Friday because he's been giving up some hits but he's got a 2.57 ERA. You'd figure he would start at least one of the games.

I thought the same thing. I'm all for letting richardson start but i'm not sure Herndon was the guy to bump. Lambert has been dominating at times but he's also had 2 real duds. Roy seems to be good for 5-6 innings then wears down. Either way it's looking like we will have 5 legit starter options for the tournament coming up.
I'm still not sold yet because we always seem to hit at VMI. That field is just an absolute launching pad. If that was our home field we would have double the HR's we have.

Three GREAT wins, I hope it's because LU is playing like a team and not because VMI was bad. In my view, the hitting for LU seemed much better and it appears the team is on a hot streak. This is the time of year to get hot, like the saying it's not how you start but how you end, example: the football team last year. Great job guys. Lets GO FLAMES !

Great Weekend for the guys. Went in needing the sweep and did what they needed to do. While it will be great to unveil a hopefully near completed stadium at the tournament, our team would be better served at a place where the ball carried better than at home. We probably have the hardest place in the conference to hit a left or center field home run in and we have a lineup built for the long ball. Let's stay hot over the next couple of weeks and do some damage in Campbell.

I think ball will carry better once weather really warms up, thus I hope it's in the 85-95 range come tournament time.
