These last 3 weeks have been embarassing. If this is what Liberty baseball is headed to then we are on a sinking ship. Alex is a great kid and embodies everything we like at LU but he is hitting .168 with 6 rbis and it's April 12th. It's time to give somone else a chance and give Alex a few days or a series to clear his head. Baseball is such a mental game and your confidence erodes and that's where Alex is. Who knows maybe you find another kid that can produce like Perritt is. Lacik didn't even have an extra base hit all year and Perritt already hit 2 homers and a double in 4 or 5 starts and he's way faster.

What on earth has happened to the pitching staff. Marsh was a key cog but the entire staff has just went in the toilet with the exception of Perritt the last 3 weeks. Is Grant hurt??? I mean Toman won't even give him a chance to throw and he was the big south newcomer of the year or whatever. Why waste his freshman year for 3 innings. If he's hurt then I'm dead wrong but i haven't heard a word to that nature.

Watched the game on ESPN3 last night. Another loss for Toman...Yaaaa!!!! Come on Liberty Fans; you guys deserve way better than this guy. You guys should be outraged at the results of this coaching staff. The AD's phone should not stop ringing from Flame Fans demanding his immediate firing. 8-0 loss to West Virginia; please, and this is "competing", I think not.
I have to agree with Jinxy on this one... Playing a kid all the time with a .168 average is just poor judgement and shows this coach knows nothing about winning. He should view the rest of the games from the dugout; as he has two more years to try to figure it out maybe. Just how much money has to be donated to the new stadium to play all the time with those numbers?
Toman is a joke....demand better Liberty Fans... Better... Not stupidity!!!

We had 8 guys bat over .300 last year and our ERA was 3.04. Funny how much change can happen in a year's time with the same coach

He's healthy and a 5th year senior. He's got the benefit of maturity and knowing what the guys in the past have coached him to do.

That's just it SJ... He doesn't know the difference between a good player and an under proforming one. Yea it's well known that he doesn't do any coaching, as his trophy case is empty to prove it.

Just saw this. It's gonna take more than Barber to get rid of Toman. They're buddies and have been buddies since JB was at SC. It doesn't matter what reports make it to his desk in regards to baseball. If Toman comes back and tells a different story, he listens to Toman. It'll take Jr stepping in (which has almost happened already) or Toman getting another job (which he's looking for).
