I agree. It's hard to win without pitching. hopefully the weekend starters will throw good games and put in some innings.

Left out some pretty good stuff there BJ. HP scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th to go up 4 to 2 before we rallied for 3 in the top of the 9th prior to Perritt closing it out in the bottom of the 9th.

No way! I checked live stats and we were down 4-2 in 8th. I think we gave up 2 runs on a throwing error??

Yeah we hit a ball to rightfielder who made a diving catch and doubled up the runner who was on first.

They should have lost all three games. An error by the third baseman in the late innings that allowed two runs to score was their saving grace.
Looking at the stats of this team; Toman must love SO's, as the guys that lead this category are playing the most and not producing. My rule when I was coaching was if you SO twice in a game, you benched yourself.
The pitching staff is walking and hitting too many batters; and are not striking out enough batters. This is a recipe for disaster and makes it hard to win close games.

Walks will hurt almost every time. Pitchers should throw more strikes, get ahead of hitters, and then force them to swing at bad pitches, which will result in more Ks.

There is no defense against a walk. but if they hit ball, there are 9 gloves out there to possibly make a play on ball and get an out.

It's hard to believe we go 1-2 against HP. Should have carried the brooms to HP.
