Good win by the guys. We must have established the fastball early and not bunted today. :)

Flames lead 4-0 in the bottom of the fifth. Grauer started the scoring with...of all things...a bases clearing single...will have to read the writeup to find out how that happened...Aanderud just cranked one out to left for the most recent run. Brooks Roy meanwhile is having another sterling outing allowing 1 hit through five and striking out three. Both of the strikeouts on Liberty have been looking strikeouts

Graeur fell down rounding first. Shouldve been a stand up double. Brooks went 6 2/3 strong. 8 to 2 top 8

Bankemper with the K for the final out...Liberty takes game 2 8-4 and clinches the series. Get out your brooms tomorrow before tuning into the selection show

Complete game from Lambert and HUGE pinch hit 3 run homer by Grauer. Looks like he's starting to get hot finally. Needed that sweep badly.

Great job by the guys taking care of business this weekend. Charleston Southern is not a great team but in baseball getting a sweep is never easy in conference. Pitchers were very good - hitters have to get it going soon. We have more guys struggling right now than are going good but 3-0 in the conference is a nice start. Wonder what the attendance was today - seemed miserable and empty on the video. By the way, the video continues to be stellar - not many mid majors have the number of camera angles, replays, and a stud announcer like Nick.

Yeah it didn't look good. Nasty day today, I had a plumber at the house from 12-5 so I was not able to make it. One angle behind the Flames dugout showed 2 fans. There was an OK crowd there yesterday considering the students were gone. I thought I heard paid attendance of 600...

Anyone ever hear what was said to Toman? CSU coach said something to ump, ump says something to Toman, Toman says something to Graur, Graur puts first pitch over the wall. Nick said something about us stealing signs but he wasn't sure.

Well, relaying velos from the guys doing the radar fun to dugout/on deck is one of those unwritten rules that you aren't supposed to do. From what it looked like, I don't think Grauer was too secretive about asking managers back there what the warm up velos were. It looked like Lake was none too pleased and then Toman was not very happy with Lake for bringing it up to umpires.....

Doesn't the scoreboard show the MPH during warmups?

Re: Games #18-20: Charleston Southern

yes it does, most all the facilities that have videos boards have MPH on it now. That's just being a ridiculous if that's what they were mad over. Tough year we beat them in football, beat them in the championship game in bball and now the sweep in baseball.

b/c of the rain, no velocities were posted on scoreboard. So, "technically" both hitters and teams are supposed to be on same playing field for hitter's timing reasons. It's supposed to be either both teams now the velocities or no one if they are not posted. Not condoning who was right or wrong here, just giving the info....
