Didn't go back to find the links but here are a few other interesting summer tidbits on our guys:
Ryan Cordell was selected as the top Pro prospect in the Great Lakes League- ran a 6.5 60 to go along with his 6'4" 210 frame and strong arm. He could be special in center field this year.
Close and Bryan Anderuud were selected to the Coastal Plain All Star game while Close was picked as a top 10 Coastal League top prospect by a couple of publications.
Matt Marsh made the all star game in the Alaskan League.
Early feedback from the first couple of weeks of school is positive regards the pitching staff. McKelvey and Parks seem to be on schedule with their recovery while Dudley, Richardson, and Bankamper all are back and at this point healthy. A couple of freshman also supposedly look promising (including the 15th round pick that came to school). Put them with Roy, Herndon, Lyons, Marsh and a few other returners and we have a chance to have a nice staff.
Two juco outfielders could combine with Cordell to make a solid outfield and with most of the infield back we might put together a decent squad. Lot of football and basketball to watch before it matters but it will be here before we know it.
