Looks like smith and cox are the only guys not back. Daniels and hagen are gone. Where is the massive turnover that was predicted?

Ended up losing two to the draft with one draftee coming to school. Had two juco kids not be eligible to transfer in and ended up with two spring juco signees from Washington - an outfielder and a pitcher. Nice to see Dudley back - if he, Richardson, Parks, and McKelvey all are healthy come Spring, it gives us a chance to have a nice staff.

Different subject but Ryan Cordell was named by Baseball America as the top draft prospect in the Great Lakes Summer League. If he can put it all together the sky is the limit for him. Could be missing someone but believe Close, Anderruud and Marsh made their summer league all star teams.

Looks like Dudley is no longer on the roster, you knwo anything about that sporter? I caught some of the scrimmage last Saturday. Some of the guys werent there and were in the parade. We looked a little small, not that that always matters. Guys were wearing different numbers so you really couldn't tell who was who. Wimmer was catching, Close 1st, Anderaud 2b, Sype 3b, looked like Cordell in CF. Couldn't tell who else was starting with the red team. Grauer was catching for Blue and Sizemore was in LF.

SS will be very interesing this year, not much middle infield depth on the roster and very young other than Anderaud and Richardson. Josh wasn't playing short with Red team so i guess there going to focus more on his pitching this year. Also noticed he's now listed as a Junior? maybe thats a misprint but i thought he should have gotten a redshirt two years ago.

The Seiz kid is a Louisville transfer, lville fans fully expected him to start for them last year and he never got it all together for one reason or another. Looks like we have a ton of 1b DH type guys and the OF is probably wide open.

I do like the depth of pitching we have. Some guys will have to step up and assume starting roles. There's almost 10 guys with experience that were solid plus you said mcelvey and parks are good. Throw in Grant pumping mid 90's and some juco guys will come out of nowhere, they always do.

Sporter, any of the guys impressed you so far? I really coudln't tell wwho any of the new guys were.

Dudley was to be a fifth year senior and was not eligible for some scholarships because of that so he is working to graduate this semester and will not be around in the spring is what I heard..

Jinxy, I did hear that Dudley was not on the roster - really hate that for the team but especially for him - really hope he gets that diploma. Have not seen enough to comment on many of the players but I do agree with you that shortstop is such a key to the group this year - tough to go into the type of schedule we have with a freshman but hopefully one of them will be ready. Will be interesting to see who ends up in the corner outfield. I did see a little of a scrimmage where Richardson threw and he looks really legit. Wonder if they will use him as a closer as they tried the past couple of years or try to get him some endurance as he has Friday night type stuff.

I am looking forward to getting out to some of the scrimmages in the next couple of weeks to get a better look.
