Coastal has exams next week, so they asked to have it moved up a day.

Thanks Chris. Just seems odd especially with such a big series and both teams would probably have fans traveling.

They're 1-6 in extra inning games. We are 0-3. Just sayin.

I believe Nick mentioned on the broadcast yesterday that this series will be on ESPN3 as well as the other usual outlets.

Edit: I should have checked the official website 1st. Here is the story:
This weekend's Big South baseball series between the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers and the Liberty Flames will be televised live from Worthington Stadium by the Flames Sports Network and appear on ESPN3. Each game of the three-game series will be televised live.

The series opens tomorrow at 7 p.m., with Friday's game scheduled for 7 p.m. First pitch for Saturday's final game is slated for 2 p.m. Saturday's contest will also be Jeffrey Taylor Memorial Scholarship Day. Nick Pierce will handle play-by-play duties and Alan York will provide color commentary.

The series will feature two of the top teams in the Big South Conference this season. Coastal Carolina enters the weekend with a 9-3 Big South record and a 27-13 overall mark, while Liberty will open the series with a 10-5 conference mark and a 33-12 overall record.

Looking forward to some Thursday night baseball. Hopefully we can break our trend that we have had against Coastal the last few years.

Tweet from Kendal Rogers of Perfect Game……Kendall Rogers ‏ @KendallRogersPG · Open
No one is talking about it, but that #Liberty #CoastalCarolina series in the #BigSouth is a big one. Winner is in great shape for at-large.

Liberty has a lot of work to do to get back in the at-large convo ... no matter what Rogers says. Flames enter the weekend No. 73 in the RPI. Coastal is No. 48. The schedule is there for LU to get back into it, but the Flames really can't afford to lose more than one or two games the rest of the way. The margin for error is gone.

I would not believe a word Kendall says when it comes to the Big South/smaller schools. The guy is a tool. He can cover the big schools just fine, but the smaller schools, that take time and effort on his part....not happening.

Chris, agree need to win 2 of 3 this weekend, or it is going to probably require winning the conference tourney…but remember RPI is a fluid thing. Maybe Coppin State will get hot :) :) ….Got their 1st win of the season last night vs a decent George Mason team.

Back edge is nearing Lewisburg, WV and moving fast. We should be able to get it in tonight.

Liberty's field drains well. As long as there aren't any hour-long torrential downpours and the weather clears, the game should go on as scheduled.

Exactly right about the at large. Rogers tweet said the series winner is in good shape whih i would agree with. Any at large scenario would have to have us taking 2 of 3. Techs rpi continues to rise as well along with big east co leader st johns

Let the rest of the season play out. If Liberty makes it back into the top 45, with quality wins over Coastal, VT, UNC, UVa, then it's a discussion point again. But not when LU is outside of the top 70.

I sent them an email, and they basically asked for proof so I sent them links to the CCU site and the Liberty athletics site.

See what they say.

Their relief pitching beat our relief pitching. CCU really has pitching depth but minimal offense. Got our work cut out for us over next 2 days.
