here is the rotation for the weekend.
FRIDAY -- Liberty RHP Patrick Eckelbarger (6-0, 2.98) vs. UNC Asheville RHP Dean Roland (4-4, 3.76), 3 p.m.
SATURDAY -- Liberty RHP John Niggli (7-0, 1.86) vs. UNC Asheville RHP Ryan Dull (2-4, 4.05), 2 p.m.
SUNDAY -- Liberty RHP Carson Herndon (3-1, 3.13) vs. UNC Asheville LHP Drew Spear (2-3, 4.61), 1 p.m.
There’s a 70 percent chance of rain on Saturday, and if the teams decide to try to squeeze in a doubleheader on Friday, then Liberty will go with Eckelbarger and Herndon on Friday and hold Niggli until Sunday. There’s no chance that Niggli will pitch on Friday.

Yeah the coastal low is still up in the air. Looked drier last night, now looking more wet. Still looks like the heavy rain will miss to Asheville's east. But it wouldn't surprise me if they play two on Sunday.

Yeah it appears the jet stream is going to strengthen and push the low up the coast. Things could get messy further up north

Yes. Snow and lots of it for Lewisburg north possibly. Weird. It's April and NOW the NAO goes negative...
Anyways I digress.

You can't digress from a passion... especially when it's meteorology. Wait until June 1... I chase hurricanes up and down the coast

3 runs in the top of the 9th off their closer, who came in with a 1.02 ERA, to take a 6-5 lead and still going.

Marsh is just healthy, has a fresh arm and has D1 experience. He's looked good in both appearances.

so then game experience doesn't matter? In that case why do the big leagues send guys on rehab assignments that are substantial. I know he's healthy and has a good arm, it's a lot to ask of a guy though, especially when bankemper has been the stopper all year and gotten out of a ton of jams.

Tough loss, especially after taking the lead in the 9th. No way we should drop a game to this team. I know we have has a long road trip but we have lost too many of these close games.

I agree rogers it is frustrating, but it certainly didnt surprise me. Baseball is one of the few sports at the collegiate level where a few breaks one way can turn the outcome of a game. Haley doesnt have the throwing error, Liberty turns two and the game possibly has a different outcome. Cordell doesnt get thrown out at home, probably a different outcome. UNCA pitcher doesnt airmail one into right field, possibly a different outcome...you could point to any number of plays where if they had turned out the opposite, we probably see a different outcome. It stinks that we lost yes, but that's the breaks sometimes. We have our ace going tomorrow so we have a chance to right the ship again.

Dumb_ _ _ coach did it again. Players win games; coaches lose them. This just cancels out that win over the Tarheels.
Theres a reason South Carolina win zero champions in eleven years with Toman....and won two national championships in five years WITHOUT HIM!!!!! There were HAPPY to see him go; thats why they stoled UNC coach and made him the highest paid assistant in the country.
Toman is a Dumb_ _ _ !!!!! Get real people! The Big South Con. is slipping away and so is the at- large because of this mans decisions.
