I was about to ask the same question. I tried to tune in during my last hour at the office and got nothing as well. I tried audio through the 90.9 website and it didnt work either

I'm listening to it now through the TuneIn app. It's not very reliable but it works off and on.

Tied at 2, top 10'th.

Great outing by Blake tonight, another putrid outing by the offense. We can't get Grauer back behind the plate quick enough. Wimmer and whoever we put at 3b right now are automatic outs everytime they step to the plate. We need Graeur behind the plate and Cox Dhing and Mike Rob back ASAP or were going to waste this start.

Curious to know why our pitchers have gotten smacked around this game and last. I think that there have been 22 hits between the games and it's not over yet.

Liberty loses 4-2...yeah I know rogers...typical

it's not the pitching. It's the inconsistent offense. What does it matter if you can beat a team by 10 runs? You only have to win by 1.

Not that runs are literally expendable, but you get the point. Our offense is not helping our pitching staff, who is doing an awesome job.

(p.s: I know the subject well, I'm a Rays fan)

Completely agree with Getting grauer some cuts, but to put him in over Cox and bat him cleanup in his first AB's in over a month..cmon that's just silly. You have to put your players in a position to succeed. Same thing with stretching Blake too far today and Herndon Saturday. In the past i could see it, because we had no depth. With the depth we have this year it's ridiculous. Toman has really gone back to questionable decision making the last two games. Besides the things i just mentioned he pulled Anderaud out for a pinch runner and that almost bit us Saturday. Or squeezing twice with your Catcher at the plate. I'm hoping this is a bad couple games but geez a ton of bad coaching decisions and dissappointing home losses.

Bottom line, you have to put your guys in the best position to be successful not sure were doing that and part is certainly the guys just not hitting as well without mike rob.

You beat me to it! I will say though, that this team has done better against in-state competition than is typical with LU sports. UVa, 2 over ODU, 2 over JMU- those games usually seem to end up as losses.

True enough.

What's funny about that is we were tearing the cover off the ball early on scoring 10 or more runs 7 times in the first 20 games and since we have scored 13, 5, 13, 12, 4, 8, 4 and 2 runs. What's up with the power outages? I wish I knew

There's no excuse for pinch-anything for Aanderaud. No reason at all, he's our best guy so far this year. That's beyond questionable judgment, that's absurd.

It's kind of like pinch running for Albert Pujols. You just don't do it.

Law of averages/large numbers.

i mean it's not even that. Anderaud isn't the fastest on the team, but he's mid range speed, the point is you don't gain that much in speed by taking him out. What you lose is his bat which almsot came up in the bottom of the 9th if Andy didn't GIDP.

Plus we gotta calm down with the running. I love it but it's too predicatable when we run everytime we get a man on first with 2 outs. We've got a ton of runners gunned down at the plate.

We need the Marshall series to right the ship this weekend. They are 10-14 and have lost 6 of their last 9.

Also, keep in mind what some of us have been trying to tell you. Look at who we have beaten. Okay, UVA. Who else? Now that we're playing better competition, it's not so easy anymore.

I honestly don't know what to make of the team, so please don't try to pin me on either side. We'll know the truth as the season wears on.

Well ladies and gentlemen; let the slide begin...down hill that is. The decisions of this head coach will be the reason Liberty never makes it to a regional. You have got to WIN these mid-week games; especially the home games and the ones you are favored to win. We are playing kids that are not ready or hurt and are not playing well; while we are leaving others on the bench. Where and why are we not playing Sizemore; as he leads this team in slugging and on-base % in very limited at bats; and we are playing others that have more strikeouts than he has at bats. The coach needs to quite playing favorites and take a hard look at the numbers for the players; bench a few that are not getting it done and put the nine best bats in the lineup. It's not hard...nine best bats in the lineup regardless of position and they will get the defense done and the pitching will have some support. Stop playing favorites....stop making dumb decisions and you just may stop this ship from sinking again!!!

see Beej look what you did  you called him out and now he's back

In the games that we've lost, we've given up 5.4 runs a game. At the collegiate level, that's not bad.

Our total runs against per game is 2.79. Not bad, but with a putrid offense you start to see a problem developing.

That said, if the offense gets rolling again, we won't need to have these conversations anymore. Hopefully it will be figured out.

Oh, jbock- I've been around here much longer than you- I just don't feel the need to be heard as much as you do! Actually, I have really just started following baseball as I never really cared that much for it. Now, I have a business partner who played all 4 yrs at LU, so my interest has been piqued. Can't I demand excellence?

Wasn't talking about you, was talking about Trotalot. What you say doesn't really bother me honestly. I usually don't agree but it's whatever.

Yeah, I know I waste a lot of time on here but believe it or not I find tons of rational people on here to debate good issues. Plus we all love LU sports.
